Vijay Sethupathi’s film Maharaja release today…
Vijay Sethupathi, the great Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi actor, has a significant release coming up this week. It’s titled Maharaja. Coincidentally, Aamir Khan’s son Junaid’s debut film, Maharaj, will be released on the same day as Vijay’s Maharaja.
“Oh, is it?” VS responds when I ask him for an interview. “I wish him the best.” I’ve been rushing from one location to another, promoting Maharaja. It’s my first genuinely large-scale film in a long time. And we’re doing it in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi; the Hindi version may be released a week after the others. “This is what the producer told me,” he clarified.
VS confesses that he was planning to make another Hindi film. “Coincidentally, Anurag Kashyap, my co-star in Maharaja, was to produce the picture. Vasan Bala was to direct. It never occurred. Then I wanted to do a Hindi adaptation of the Tamil film Good Night, with myself as the lead. However, the producer did not find it intriguing in Hindi,” explained Sethupathi

VS is always seeking for screenplays that will push him. “I wouldn’t say it’s tough to find challenging roles,” he said. It is difficult to obtain a positive result. The script regularly deviates from the planned direction. There is no guarantee that a film will turn out as well on screen as it does in the script. Actually, nothing is definite in life. Nithilan Swaminathan read it to me, and I immediately related with my character. How? It’s just an instinct. My intuition is generally right. This time, I had an instant connection with my character. I understand what it means to want to protect one’s family.
The actor-extraordinaire is reluctant to share anything about Maharaja. औरों में कहां दम था’ का ट्रेलर रिलीज, देखें वीडियो “It’s a revenge narrative full with emotion. Anurag Kashyap portrays the antagonist. We have always had a mutual regard. While I was in Mumbai, he showed me his film Kennedy. I like working with him. “He is a fascinating co-star,” he stated.
According to VS, the script comes first, even before the director. “I do not choose directors. I chose scripts. The director might be someone with little experience. I don’t mind working with new filmmakers if their story appeals to me,” he continued.
Vijay recently made an important declaration regarding not working with the actress Anushka Shetty since she was almost his son’s age. He is not bothered by the attention paid to what he claims was a casual remark. “Why has this become such a hot topic? I was not saying anything provocative. It was twisted out of context. What I meant was that I felt embarrassed collaborating with her on screen since she had previously played my daughter in a film. She even addresses me as Dad in real life. So there was an issue. Otherwise, it doesn’t matter how old my heroine is. “It’s all acting,” he explained.
Would he agree that there is a trend in Tamil and Telugu film of celebrities collaborating with females half their age or younger? VS begs off, asking, “Sir, please do not make this interview into a scandal. We’ll talk about that another time. Right now, my whole emphasis is on Maharaja. This is a film that will appeal to a broad public.{ Today death anniversary of sushant singh rajput } I get to play the most authentic hero possible: a man who will go to any extent to defend his family.”
Isn’t he inclined to play the antagonist? “Not at all.” I’ve portrayed the villain in a few of my recent projects. My fans didn’t like it. “Neither did I,” the actor said.
vijay Sethupathi is coming back to the big screen with his 50th movies, Maharaja. The film is directed by Nithilan Saminathan of Kurangu Bommai fame, and Anurag Kashyap plays a major part. vijay Sethupathi’s forthcoming lineup includes Viduthalap Part 2.
